CHAPTER 423

(House Bill 550)

AN ACT concerning

Suspension and Debarment of Contractors

FOR the purpose of consolidating certain provisions relating to
debarment of persons for bribery and for other offenses;
defining certain terms; defining mandatory and permissible
grounds for debarment; providing for suspensions for all
debarment offenses; revising certain debarment procedures;
revising the time for persons to petition the Board for
removal of debarments; granting certain investigative powers
to the Attorney General; and generally relating to the
suspension and debarment of public contractors.

BY repealing

Article - State Finance and Procurement

Section 16-101 through 16-208, the title "Title 16.
Debarment of Contractors", and the subtitles
"Subtitle 1. Debarment for Offenses Other Than
Bribery" and "Subtitle 2. Debarment From State and
Local Contracts - Bribery"

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1988 Replacement Volume)

BY adding to

Article - State Finance and Procurement

Section 16-101 through 16-312 to be under the new title
"Title 16. Suspension and Debarment of Contractors"
and the new subtitles "Subtitle 1. Definitions
General Provisions", "Subtitle 2. Offenses Subject
to Debarment", and "Subtitle 3. Suspension and
Debarment Procedures"
