SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 83B - Department of Housing and Community Development

5-601.

(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings
indicated.

[(b) "Submerged archaeological historic property" means any
site, structure, object, or remains which:

(1)  Yields or is likely to yield information of
significance to the scientific study of human prehistory,
history, or culture; and

(2)  (i) Is embedded in submerged lands and has
remained unclaimed for 100 years or longer; or

(ii) Is included in or has been determined
eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic
Places.]

(B) "BUSINESS ENTITY" MEANS, FOR PURPOSES OF §§ 5-612 AND
5-613 OF THIS SUBTITLE, A CORPORATION, ASSOCIATION, PARTNERSHIP,
JOINT VENTURE, OR OTHER LEGALLY ORGANIZED ENTITY.
