NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF § 56 OF THIS ARTICLE, AN
INDIVIDUAL OPERATING A VENDING FACILITY UNDER THE MARYLAND
VENDING PROGRAM FOR THE BLIND IS NOT REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A
TRADER'S LICENSE.
178.
(A) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY:
(1) IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY; OR
(2) TO INDIVIDUALS OPERATING VENDING FACILITIES UNDER
THE MARYLAND VENDING PROGRAM FOR THE BLIND.
(B) Each person, firm or corporation, resident or
nonresident, operating or conducting a restaurant or eating
place, shall before doing so, take out a license therefor, and
shall pay an annual license fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for each
place of business so operated except that in incorporated towns
and cities of 8,000 inhabitants or over, the fee for each place
of business so operated shall be $25, except in Baltimore City,
where the fee is $50. [Provided, however, that this section
shall not apply in Montgomery County.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
