LAWS OF MARYLAND

(3) BY REGULATION, THE SECRETARY SHALL ESTABLISH
APPROPRIATE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES GOVERNING ADMINISTRATION OF
THE BENEFITS PLAN. THE SECRETARY SHALL ALSO ENSURE THAT THE PLAN
COMPLIES WITH ANY FEDERAL OR STATE LAW GOVERNING EMPLOYEE BENEFIT
PLANS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

AN ACT concerning

Child Pornography - Offenses and Penalties

FOR the purpose of altering certain penalties for violations of
certain child pornography provisions; requiring certain
penalties for subsequent convictions of violations relating

to child pornography; requiring that sentences run

consecutively with and commencing with the expiration of any
other sentence being served by the person; prohibiting a
certain defense to prosecution; expanding the application of
certain provisions to persons of younger age; and generally
relating to child pornography penalties.

FOR the purpose of altering certain penalties for subsequent
convictions of violations relating to child pornography;
expanding the application of certain child pornography
offenses to persons of an older age; defining a certain
term; and generally relating to certain child pornography
offenses and penalties.
