AN ACT concerning
Frederick County - Fire Prevention Code
FOR the purpose of altering certain provisions regarding the
adoption of a fire prevention code, and any ordinance or
resolution relating to such a code, in Frederick County;
requiring the publication of a certain ordinance or
resolution in a certain manner; requiring the Administrative
Officer to the Frederick County Commissioners to provide
copies of certain ordinances or resolutions upon application
by interested persons; making the fire prevention code, or
any ordinance or resolution related thereto, adopted by the
County Commissioners applicable to each municipality within
the County; and generally relating to the fire prevention
code in Frederick County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
11.
(A) The SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS
SECTION, THE county commissioners of each county in the State
shall have the power by resolution or ordinance to adopt, and to
amend from time to time, a fire prevention code, to provide for
protection against fires and the removal of fire hazards, to
provide for the appointment of inspectors for the enforcement
thereof and to provide penalties for the violation of any fire
prevention code or any ordinance, resolution or regulation for
the prevention of fires or the removal of fire hazards. Said
