(1) Appeal the decision of the Association to the
Commissioner; and

(2) Request a healing under §§ 35 through 40 of this
article.

This subtitle does not apply to:

(1)     Property and homeowner's insurance;

(2)     Medical malpractice insurance;

(3)     Motor vehicle insurance; and

(4)     Workers' compensation insurance.

Chapter 663 of the Acts of 1986

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1986. This Act shall remain effective for a
period of [three] SIX years and, at the end of June 30, [1989]
1992, and with no further action required by the General
Assembly, Subtitle 43. "Commercial Casualty Underwriting
Association" as enacted by this Act shall be abrogated and of no
further force and effect.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

Unauthorized Insurers - Penalties

FOR the purpose of increasing modifying penalties for certain
acts of unauthorized insurance business; clarifying that
certain persons are subject to monetary penalties for
certain acts of unauthorized insurance business; increasing
the penalties for such acts; making certain stylistic
changers; and generally relating to unauthorized insurance
business.
