(House Bill 58)

AN ACT concerning

Railroad Safety and Health Act - Amendments,
Revisions, and Corrections

FOR the purpose of clarifying the jurisdictional authority of the
Commissioner of Labor and Industry over railroad safety and
health matters; transferring authority to regulate the
sanitary condition of railroad locomotives to the Division
of Labor and Industry; specifying certain sanitary standards
for the maintenance of locomotives; abolishing the position
of assistant commissioner of labor and industry for railroad
safety and health and creating the position of chief
inspector for railroad safety and health under the State
Merit System Law; consolidating certain provisions of law;
repealing certain preempted and obsolete provisions of law;
and generally transferring, revising, updating, renumbering,
and repealing provisions relating to railroad safety and
health.
