AN ACT concerning

Charles County - County Commissioners - Acquisition and
Improvement of Private Water Systems

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Charles County Commissioners
to acquire and improve private water systems under certain
circumstances; directing the Charles County Department of
Public Works to operate certain acquired water systems;
providing for the imposition and collection of benefit
assessments under certain circumstances; permitting a
property owner to appeal a benefit assessment under certain
circumstances; and generally relating to the acquisition and
improvement of private water systems by the Charles County
Commissioners.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the new article "Article I - General Regulations
for County Water and Sewer Systems" precede Section 97-1 of
Article 9 - Charles County of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:
