(III) $50 FOR A LICENSE TO TEACH COSMETOLOGY;

SALON; AND

(IV) $50 FOR A LICENSE TO MANAGE A BEAUTY

(3) SUBMITS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL APPLICATION ON THE
FORM THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES.

(D)  CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR TEACHERS.

IN ADDITION TO MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS OF SUBSECTION (C) OF
THIS SECTION, A LICENSEE WHO SEEKS TO RENEW A LICENSE TO TEACH
COSMETOLOGY SHALL:

(1)  ATTEND EVERY 2 YEARS AT LEAST 1 COURSE, SEMINAR,
OR PROGRAM APPROVED BY THE BOARD; AND

(2)  SUBMIT TO THE BOARD PROOF OF ATTENDANCE AT THE
COURSE, SEMINAR, OR PROGRAM.

(E)  PHYSICAL EXAMINATION.

THE BOARD MAY. NOT REQUIRE A LICENSEE TO TAKE A PHYSICAL
EXAMINATION AS A CONDITION FOR RENEWAL OF THE LICENSE.

(F)   ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE BOARD SHALL RENEW THE LICENSE OF AND ISSUE A RENEWAL
CERTIFICATE TO EACH LICENSEE WHO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS
SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a), (c)(2) and (3), (d), and
(e) of this section are new language derived without
substantive change from former Art. 56, § 499(b), §
501(d), the second sentence of (a), and, except as it
related to students, the first sentence of (b), and,
as they related to renewal fees, items (a) and (b) of
the second sentence of § 500.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language added
to conform to the practice of the Board and to similar
provisions governing other State-regulated business
occupations. In light of this addition, in subsection
(c)(3) of this section, the former phrase "on request"
is deleted.

Subsection (c)(1) of this section is standard language
added for clarity.

Subsection (f) of this section is standard language
added to express that which only was implied in the
former law -- i.e., the Board must renew the license
of a qualified applicant.
