(House Bill 297)

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Alcoholic Beverages License Fees

FOR the purpose of altering the fees for certain classes of
alcoholic beverages licenses in Baltimore City; correcting
an internal reference; and making certain stylistic changes.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 25(b)(1) and (c)(l)(i)

Annotated Code of Maryland

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 19(c-l)(2), (3), and (4) and 25(b)(8) and (c)(9)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

19.

(c-1) (2) For any hotel or motel meeting the minimum
criteria of paragraph (3) of this subsection, there shall be
issued a special Class B license known as a Class B-BWL (H-M),
for which the annual license fee shall be [$3,000] $5,000.

(3) In Baltimore City the minimum criteria for the
issuance of a Class B-BWL (H-M) license are as follows[.]:

(i) The hotel or motel shall contain no less
than 100 rooms for the accommodation of the public.

(ii) The hotel or motel shall contain a dining
room with facilities for preparing and serving regular meals for
at least 125 persons at one seating.

(iii) The capital investment in the hotel or
motel facility may not be less than $500,000.
