6012(a)(1)(A)(i) of the Internal Revenue Code.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject to the
approval of the Director of the Department of Legislative
Reference, the publisher of the Annotated Code of Maryland shall
propose the correction of cross-references that are rendered
incorrect by this Act.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, in accordance
with Section 4 of Chapter 664 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1988, the subtraction modification for donated farm products
under § 10-208(g) of the Tax - General Article shall remain in
effect only through June 30, 1991 and shall be applicable only to
taxable years beginning before January 1, 1991.

SECTION 4 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1989 and shall apply to taxable years
beginning after December 31, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Merit System - Residency Requirement - Veteran's Credit

FOR the purpose of repealing the State residency requirement as a
prerequisite for a veteran to receive a certain credit when
applying for State employment; and making stylistic changes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
