CHAPTER 147

(Senate Bill 666)

AN ACT concerning

Health Occupations - Dietitians and Nutritionists

FOR the purpose of repealing the termination of certain
provisions relating to the State Board of Dietetic Practice;
authorizing the Maryland Chapter of the American
Nutritionists Association to participate in the preparation
and submission of a certain list to the Governor; making
this Act an emergency measure; and generally relating to the
licensure of dietitians and nutritionists.

Section 4.5-202(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1986 Replacement Volume and 1988 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 154 of the Acts of 1988

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an
emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public health and safety, has been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect
from the date it is enacted. [It shall remain effective for a
period of one year from the date of enactment, and at the end of
the one-year period, and with no further action required by the
General Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and of no further
force and effect.]

4.5-202.

(a) (1) The Board consists of 7 members.
