(III)  $2,750 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1993; AND

(IV)  $3,000 FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1994.

(2) EACH MEMBER IS ENTITLED TO $600 EACH YEAR FOR
TRAVEL AND OTHER EXPENSES.

(D) EACH SALARY PROVIDED UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL BE PAID
ON A QUARTERLY BASIS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the chairman, vice chairman, and members of the Charles County
Board of Education in office on the effective date of this Act,
but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary or
compensation of the chairman, vice chairman, and members of the
Charles County Board of Education shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
