AN ACT concerning

Governor's Council on Adolescent Pregnancy -
Maryland Program Evaluation Act

FOR the purpose of extending the date by which an evaluation must
be completed of the Governor's Council on Adolescent
Pregnancy under the Maryland Program Evaluation Act; making
technical changes; and generally relating to the evaluation
of the Governor's Council on Adolescent Pregnancy under the
Maryland Program Evaluation Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Preamble

WHEREAS, The Governor's Council on Adolescent Pregnancy has
been subject to an evaluation to determine the appropriateness of
waiver pursuant to Section 8-403(e) of the Maryland Program
Evaluation Act, this procedure being created to streamline the
process for legislative review required under the Act; and

WHEREAS, The Legislative Policy Committee has reviewed the
organizational and fiscal status of this Council and has
determined that additional information is required before a full
evaluation can be completed; and
