AN ACT concerning

Governor's Council on Adolescent Pregnancy - Composition and

Terms of Members

FOR the purpose of altering the composition of the Governor's
Council on Adolescent Pregnancy; establishing the terms of
certain members; staggering the terms of certain members of
the Governor's Council on Adolescent Pregnancy;
establishing that the terms of certain members shall expire
in certain years; and generally relating to the Governor's
Council on Adolescent Pregnancy.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Family Law

15-202.

(a) The Council consists of the following [18] 20 members
appointed by the Governor:

(1)   the Secretary of Human Resources;

(2)   the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene;

(3)   the Secretary of Economic and Employment
Development;

(4)  the Secretary of Budget and Fiscal Planning;

(5)  the State Superintendent of Schools;

(6)   the Director of the Office on Children and Youth;

(7)  1 member of the Senate of Maryland nominated by
the President of the Senate;

(8)  1 member of the House of Delegates of Maryland
nominated by the Speaker of the House;
