AMOUNTS PAID BY THE STATE TO ANY ELIGIBLE INSTITUTION UNDER
THIS SUBTITLE MAY NOT DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY REDUCE THE STATE
GENERAL FUND OR CAPITAL FUND SUPPORT FOR THE ELIGIBLE
INSTITUTION.

17-305 17-306.

THE MARYLAND HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION SHALL:

(1)  ADOPT REGULATIONS NECESSARY FOR THE
ADMINISTRATION OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(2)  SUBMIT TO THE GOVERNOR BY DECEMBER 1, 1991, A
REPORT EVALUATING THE PROGRAM UNDER THIS SUBTITLE AND CONTAINING
RECOMMENDATIONS AS TO WHETHER IT SHOULD BE EXTENDED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this subtitle
and all regulations adopted under this subtitle shall terminate
and be of no effect after July 1, 1997.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

(Senate Bill 397)

AN ACT concerning

State Board of Education

FOR the purpose of altering the membership and the terms of
service of the State Board of Education; authorizing the
Governor to make a certain appointment; removing the State
Board's ability to select a certain officer; requiring the
State Board of Education to perform certain functions and to
develop a certain plan; and generally relating to the State
Board of Education.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 2-202, 2-204(b), and 2-205(q)
