Chapter 360 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1988
Section 1

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 24 - Political Subdivisions - Miscellaneous Provisions

9-315.

To provide for orderly, systematic, and thorough
administration of the hotel rental tax, an authorized county may
adopt regulations that:

(1)  Are consistent with this subtitle; and

(2)  Conform to the applicable provisions and
regulations for the sales and use tax under Title 11 of the Tax -
General Article.

Error: Function paragraph of bill being cured
incorrectly stated that Article 24, § 9-315 was
unamended.

Occurred: Ch. 428 (House Bill 552) of the Acts of
1988.

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

641.

(a) (1) (ii) However, when the offense for which the
judgment is being stayed is for violation of any provision of §
21-902 of the Transportation Article, the court:

1. Shall impose a period of probation
and, as a condition of the probation, require the person to
participate in an alcohol treatment or education program approved
by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, unless the court
finds and affirmatively states on the record that the interests
of the person and the people of the State do not require the
imposition of this condition; and

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Title of bill being cured failed to give
notice of an amendment made to the law requiring a
court, as a condition of a probation before judgment
