SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

155.

(a) The salaries of the members of the boards of license
commissioners shall be as specified in this section. Where no
salary is specified for such boards which serve ex officio, the
members may not receive additional compensation under the
provisions of this section.

(u) In Washington County [each member of the board shall be
entitled to receive an annual salary of $2,800] THE CHAIRMAN OF
THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY
OF $3,850. EACH OTHER MEMBER SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF
$3,600. THE SALARIES SPECIFIED IN THIS SUBSECTION ARE payable
monthly from the license fees derived from the issuance of
[license fees] LICENSES authorized by this article. [No] A
member or employee of the board [shall] MAY NOT have any
pecuniary or other interest in any phase of the manufacture, sale
or distribution of any alcoholic beverages.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Regulation of Wild Animals in Captivity

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of
Carroll County to provide, by ordinance, for a comprehensive
system for the regulation of wild animals held in captivity;
specifying that the regulations may include provisions for
the regulation of owners or keepers of any animal that
disturbs the peace or is vicious; authorizing the County
