AN ACT concerning

State Board of Cosmetologists - Penalties

FOR the purpose of altering the monetary criminal penalty for
persons convicted of violating certain provisions of law
relating to the regulation of cosmetologists; and providing
effective dates for this Act.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF'
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 56 - Licenses

505.

(a) Any person who shall practice or teach beauty culture,
or act in any capacity wherein registration is required, without
complying with this subtitle, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine [of not
less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than twenty-five dollars
($25.00)] NOT EXCEEDING $250 $100.
