SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 9 - Charles County

[27-8.

A.  The County Commissioners shall establish a Board known
as the "Salary Review Board."

B.  The Salary Review Board shall consist of two (2) members
appointed by the Charles County Commissioners as follows:

(1)  One (1) member appointed by the 29th Legislative
District delegation.

(2)  One (1) member appointed by the Charles County
Democratic Central Committee.

(3)  One (1) member appointed by the Charles County
Republican Central Committee.

(4)  One (1) member appointed by the Charles County
Chamber of Commerce.

(5)  One (1) member appointed by the Charles County
Economic Development Commission.

C.  The Board shall meet as necessary to review the salaries
set by law for county officials and shall make its
recommendations to the County Commissioners no later than
December 1, 1980.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
