General Fund Appropriation.........

To provide annual grants to
educational institutions which
have statewide implication and
merit State support, provided
that the grant to the Lady
Maryland Foundation be contingent
upon Baltimore City maintaining
at least the same cash support as
in Fiscal Year 1989. making a
cash grant of $30,000 in fiscal
year 1990. It is the intent of

the General Assembly that

$150,000 for the Challenger
Learning Center be for this
fiscal year only. Funding in
future years should come from
local and private sources.
