24.06.00.01 Clerks of the Court

General Fund Appropriation,
provided that funds appropriated
for automation support may be
expended for that purpose only
and may not be transferred to any
other purpose by budget amendment
or otherwise. It is the policy
of the General Assembly that no

clerk shall enhance data

processing capacity without

approval of the Comptroller and
concurrence of the State Court
Administrator. Approval shall
not be granted unless the

proposed enhancement is

compatible with a statewide
information processing plan.

Further provided that funds

appropriated for Selected Salary
Adjustments submitted by the
Department of Personnel are
contingent on the enactment of
H.B. 1524, which designates the
Secretary of Personnel as the
sole salary setting authority for
the Clerks of the Court.
Further provided that $1,264,632 of
this appropriation, made for the
purpose of automation support for
the Clerks of the Court, may not
be expended until the Comptroller
certifies that the automation
pilot projects in Anne Arundel
and Carroll Counties have been
successfully installed and are
fully operational................
