22.10.00.01 General Administration

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT - GOVERNOR

For the purpose of placing a
ceiling on the total number of
employees during fiscal year
1990, the Executive Department
shall not expend funds for any
job or position of employment in
excess of 179.1-178.1 179.1
positions. The ceiling includes

the Office of Handicapped

Individuals, the Maryland Pride
You Are Beautiful Program and all
units under Boards, Commissions
and Offices. Further, with the
exception of the State Police, it
is the intent of the General

Assembly that no additional

positions shall be transferred
into or detailed to the Executive
Department from any other unit of
the State government for periods
exceeding 90 days. The Maryland

Stadium Authority which is

budgeted in the Executive

Department is excluded from this
ceiling. The position cap shall
adjust to reflect any position,
function, or office transferred
out of the Executive Department

to another unit of State

government.
