shall report to the Governor and the Legislative Policy Committee
on December 31 of each year. The Oversight Committee shall
direct the Insurance Commissioner to prepare a feasibility study
on alternative methods to determine the provision for claim
payment and submit the study to the Governor and the Legislative
Policy Committee on or before January 1, 1991.

Chapter 591 of the Acts of 1987

SECTION 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Workers'
Compensation Benefit and Insurance Oversight Committee
established by HB 238 (Chapter 590 of the Acts of 1987), as part
of its examination of the workers' compensation benefits and
workers' compensation insurance in the State of Maryland shall
review, with respect to adequacy and appropriateness, all
benefits specified in Article 101 § 36(3)(c) and make
recommendations for necessary changes prior to the [1989] 1990
Legislative Session.

SECTION 8. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the changes made
to §§ 36(3)(c)(i) §§ 36(3)(c) and 36(3)(a)(i)2. of this Article
take effect January 1, 1988 and shall remain in effect for a
period of [2] 3 years and, at the end of January 1, [1990] 1991,
with no further action required by the General Assembly, these
changes shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an
emergency measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public health and safety, has been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect
from the date it is enacted.

AN ACT concerning

Oysters and Clams - Tongs

FOR the purpose of redefining the term "tong" for certain
purposes; excluding patent tongs from the definition of
"tong"; making a stylistic change; making this Act an
emergency measure; and generally relating to the revision of
the term "tong" for certain purposes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
