Occurred: As a result of Ch. 658, Acts of 1988, which
redesignated subsection (b)(2) of § 19-116 of the
Health - General Article to be subsection (b)(l)(ii).

19-213.

The Commission shall require each facility to give the
Commission information that:

(4) Includes physician information sufficient to
identify practice patterns of individual physicians across all
facilities. The names of individual physicians are confidential
and are not discoverable or admissible in evidence in a civil or
criminal proceeding, and may only be disclosed to the following:

(i) The utilization review committee of a
Maryland hospital;

(ii) The Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the
State of Maryland; OR

(III) THE STATE BOARD OF PHYSICIAN QUALITY
ASSURANCE.

[(iii) The State Board of Medical Examiners; or

(iv) The Commission on Medical Discipline of
Maryland.]

Occurred: Ch. 109, Acts of 1988 failed to change
references in § 19-213(4) of the Health - General
Article to reflect the creation of the State Board of
Physician Quality Assurance and the elimination of the
State Board of Medical Examiners and the Commission on
Medical Discipline of Maryland.

19-326.1.

If a hospital voluntarily closes, merges, or is delicensed
under § 19-325 of this subtitle and workers are displaced:

(2) The Secretary of Economic and Employment
Development shall pay the fees received under this section into
the Hospital Employees Training Fund established under Article
[41A] 83A, § 3-202 of the Code.
