6-202.

(a) (1) On the recommendation of the county superintendent,
a county board may suspend or dismiss a teacher, principal,
supervisor, assistant superintendent, or other professional
assistant for:

(ii) Misconduct in office, including knowingly
failing to report suspected child abuse in violation of [§ 5-903]
§ 5-704 of the Family Law Article;

Occurred: As a result of Ch. 635, Acts of 1987.

7-4A-01.

The General Assembly finds and declares that:

(3)  A suicide prevention program for young people
must emphasize a partnership between educational programs at the
State and local levels and community suicide prevention and
crisis center agencies[.];

(4)   It is of vital importance that a statewide Youth
Suicide Prevention School Program be established with shared
responsibility at both the State and county levels, and that this
cooperation shall be a major tool in efforts to achieve the
successful prevention of youth suicide[.]; AND

7-601.

(b) (2) In Allegany County, school buses may be used to
transport students to or from school for longer than 1 hour or
over a distance of more than 45 miles if the student participates

in:

(ii) Education of handicapped children programs
[(20 U.S.C. §§ 1401 through 1461)] UNDER THE FEDERAL EDUCATION OF
THE HANDICAPPED ACT; or
