(II)  THE DATE BY WHICH THE BOARD MUST RECEIVE
THE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE RENEWAL TO BE ISSUED AND MAILED
BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES; AND

(III)  THE AMOUNT OF THE RENEWAL FEE.

(C)  APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL.

BEFORE A LICENSE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE PERIODICALLY MAY
RENEW IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2-YEAR TERM, IF THE LICENSEE:

(1)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED;

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL FEE NOT EXCEEDING
$70, AS SET BY THE BOARD; AND

(3)  SUBMITS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL APPLICATION ON THE
FORM THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES.

(D)  ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE BOARD SHALL RENEW THE LICENSE OF EACH LICENSEE WHO MEETS
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

(E)  GRACE PERIOD.

AN ARCHITECT HAS A GRACE PERIOD OF 30 DAYS AFTER THE
ARCHITECT'S LICENSE EXPIRES IN WHICH TO RENEW IT RETROACTIVELY,
IF THE ARCHITECT:

(1)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO HAVE THE LICENSE
RENEWED; AND

(2)  PAYS THE RENEWAL FEE TO THE BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language added to state expressly that which only was
implied by the reference, in former Art. 56, §
472(a)3, to "[b]iennial renewal". This addition
conforms to the practice of the Board to require
renewal by June 30 of each even-numbered year.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language added
to conform to the practice of the Board and to similar
provisions governing other State-regulated
occupations.

Subsection (c)(1) of this section is standard language
added for clarity.

Subsection (c)(2) of this section is new language
derived without substantive change from the first
clause of former Art. 56, § 466(h) and item 3 of the
second sentence of § 472(a).
