Article 89 - Division of Labor and Industry

[33A.

(a)  There is a Hazards Communication Study Commission
established to develop a report and proposed legislation
concerning necessary and appropriate standards and requirements
to be followed by employers regarding access to information on,
and handling of, certain hazardous and toxic substances in the
workplace.

(b)  The membership of the Study Commission is as follows:

(1)  A member of the Maryland-District of Columbia
Professional Fire Fighters Association;

(2)  A member of the International Association of Fire
Fighters;

(3)  A member of the Maryland State Volunteer
Firemen's Association;

(4)  A member of the Maryland-District of Columbia
AFL-CIO;

(5)  A member of the national AFL-CIO;

(6)  A member of the Maryland Committee for
Occupational Safety and Health;

(7)  A member of the Maryland Conservation Council;

(8)  2 members of the State Senate;

(9)  2 members of the State House of Delegates;

(10)  A representative of the Maryland Department of
the Environment;

(11)  A representative of the Maryland Commissioner of
Labor and Industry;

(12)  A member of the Maryland Council on Toxic
Substances;
