(a)  This section only applies in Wicomico and Allegany
counties. [No] A person in [this State shall] THESE COUNTIES MAY
NOT sell, dispose of, barter, or deal in, or give away any
articles of merchandise on Sunday, except retailers, who may sell
and deliver on said day tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, candy, sodas
and soft drinks, ice, ice cream, ices and other confectionery,
milk, bread, fruits, vegetables, gasoline, gasohol, oils and
greases.

In Wicomico and Allegany Counties, nothing contained in [§§
492 or 522] § 492 OR § 522 of this article shall be construed to
prohibit or make unlawful the washing of motor vehicles on the
first day of the week, commonly called Sunday. The work or
employment of any operator, owner, filling station attendant, car
wash employee, or any other employees or attendants in connection
with such washing of motor vehicles shall not be unlawful because
performed on Sundays.

(b)  Notwithstanding any provision of this section, the
operation of any of the following types of retail establishments
is allowed on Sunday:

2. Delicatessens whose principal business is the sale
of [delicatessens] DELICATESSEN and related food items.

(g) (2) The 6-person business opening provision under
subsection [(c)(3)] (C)3. of this [subsection] SECTION does not
apply to business openings permitted under this subsection.

(4) If the business opens on Sunday under the
provisions of this subsection, an employee who notifies his
