(I)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED;

(II)  PAYS TO THE COMPTROLLER A RENEWAL FEE OF

(III) SUBMITS TO THE COMPTROLLER A RENEWAL
APPLICATION ON THE FORM THE COMPTROLLER REQUIRES.

(2) BEFORE A LICENSE ISSUED BY A CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT
COURT UNDER THIS SUBTITLE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE MAY RENEW IT FOR
AN ADDITIONAL 1-YEAR TERM, IF THE LICENSEE:

(I)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED;

(II)  PAYS TO THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT A
RENEWAL FEE OF $3; AND

(III)  SUBMITS TO THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT
A RENEWAL APPLICATION ON THE FORM THE CLERK REQUIRES.

(D) ISSUANCE OF LICENSES.

THE COMPTROLLER OR THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT, AS
APPROPRIATE, SHALL RENEW THE LICENSE OF EACH LICENSEE WHO MEETS
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is in part
new language derived without substantive change from
the third sentence of former Art. 56, § 65 and the
second sentence of § 66 and in part is standard
language substituted for the first clause of the third
sentence of former Art. 81, § 446, to clarify the
expiration and renewal dates of a license.

Subsections (b), (c), and (d) of this section are new
language added to conform to similar provisions
governing other State regulated businesses.

Subsection (a) of this section is restated in standard
language used in similar licensing provisions
throughout this article.

In subsections (a) and (c) of this section, the former
clause "shall remain in effect so long as the
distributor engages in business" is deleted as
surplusage. As to "wholesaler", , see the revisor's
note to § 610 of this subtitle.
