(ii) during fiscal year 1987, initiation of
24-hour Medevac service in the southern Maryland region of the
State;
(iii) transfer to the Emergency Assistance
Trust Fund based on applications for financial assistance
approved by the Board of Public Works up to a maximum of
$300,000;
(iv) upgrading the Emergency Medical System
helicopter fleet, training, and communication equipment; and
(v) transfer to the State of Maryland Deposit
Insurance Fund Corporation for authorized purposes of the Fund.
(2) Funds may be transferred from the Account for
items (l)(i), (ii), and (iv) of this subsection only:
(i) after approval by the Senate Budget and
Taxation Committee and the House Appropriations Committee of the
General Assembly of a plan, or any portion thereof, of proposed
expenditures resulting from a study of the State Emergency
Medical System; and
(ii) by an appropriation in the budget bill or
by budget amendment only after the budget amendment is submitted
to the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee and the House
Appropriations Committee of the General Assembly.
(h) Any funds transferred to the Account from the
Environmental Trust Fund may be transferred subsequently to the
weatherization program established in Article 41, Section 6-406
of the Code only if the Governor finds that the transfer is
required as a condition of acceptance of oil overcharge refunds
or is required in order to be consistent with applicable federal
law, regulation, or relevant judicial decision.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
