CHESAPEAKE BAY RELATED PROGRAMS; AND

(4)  ANY REMAINING BALANCE TO THE GASOLINE AND MOTOR
VEHICLE REVENUE ACCOUNT OF THE TRANSPORTATION TRUST FUND.

SUBTITLE 11. PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY FRANCHISE TAX
REVENUE DISTRIBUTION.

2-1101. TO GENERAL FUND.

THE COMPTROLLER SHALL DISTRIBUTE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY
FRANCHISE TAX REVENUE THAT THE COMPTROLLER COLLECTS OR RECEIVES
FROM THE DEPARTMENT TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to
clarify that the Comptroller is required to distribute
the public service company franchise tax revenue that
is paid or remitted to the Comptroller to the General
Fund of the State.

As to the distribution of public service company
franchise tax revenue by the Department, see § 8-414
of this article.

As to requirement for payment of collections of State
revenue into State Treasury, see SF § 6-213.

2-1102. PAYMENT OF REFUNDS.

THE COMPTROLLER SHALL PAY REFUNDS RELATING TO THE PUBLIC
SERVICE COMPANY FRANCHISE TAX FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to state
expressly the method for paying refunds of the public
service company franchise tax.
