AN ORDINANCE concerning

Personnel - Physical Agility Standards for
Public Safety Employees

FOR the purpose of granting the Personnel Officer the
authority to establish work-related physical agility standards for
public safety employees.

WHEREAS, the physical demands placed upon police officers,
firefighters and Detention Center officers require that in the
interest of individual and public safety, each employee of the
Police Department, Fire Department and Detention Center maintain
a minimum physical condition to perform effectively his or her
duties; and

WHEREAS, it is in the public's best interest that
individuals within the Police Department, Fire Department and
Detention Center possess minimum physical qualifications to
enable them to perform the public safety duties which are
required of them.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments

FOR the purpose of modifying the definition and fees
relating to significant users under the County's wastewater
discharge requirements.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments
