VETOES

This bill amends the "Local Government Tort Claims Act" to
include housing authorities.

Senate Bill 585, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 17, 1988, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 1248.

AN ACT concerning

Maryland Tort Claims Act— Local Government
Tort Claims Act - Housing Authorities

FOR the purpose of adding certain housing authorities to the
meaning of local government for purposes of civil liability
and immunity under the Maryland Local Government Tort Claims
Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
