VETOES
2. The average length of time spent investigating
allegations brought against physicians under each of the
disciplinary grounds enumerated under § 14-504 of the Health
Occupations Article;
3. The number of cases not completed within 1 year and the
reasons for the failure to complete the cases in 1 year;
3 4. The number of physicians who were reprimanded or
placed on probation, or who had their license suspended or
revoked;
4 5. The number of unresolved allegations pending before
the Board;
5 6. The number and nature of allegations filed with the
Board concerning cardiac rescue technicians, aviation trauma
technicians, emergency medical technicians, medical radiation
technicians, and physician assistants; and
6 7. The adequacy of current Board staffing in meeting the
workload of the Board.
SECTION 3. 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
publishers of the Annotated Code of Maryland, subject to the
approval of the Director of the Department of Legislative
Reference, shall propose a plan of correction to change
references throughout the Annotated Code to the State Board of
Medical Examiners and the Commission on Medical Discipline to be
the State Board of Medical Physician Quality Assurance.
SECTION 4. 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1988.
