WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor

This bill is being vetoed because HB 230 accomplishes the intent,
plus more.

House Bill 230, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 27, 1988, allows the local governments to
grant a credit against a portion of real property that is
improved after July 1, 1988, provided the property is owned by a
business with 25 or more employees and the property is improved
to establish a day care center. SB 693 is only applicable to
Harford County. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 693.

Sincerely,

William Donald Schaefer

Governor
