I am, however, supportive of the intent of this legislation and
by this letter, I am directing the Department of the Environment
to notify each member of the General Assembly whose district
includes a site for a refuse disposal system or any member who
requests notification before a permit is issued, renewed, or
extended for that site. And for the above reasons, I have
decided to veto Senate Bill 18.

AN ACT concerning

Refuse Disposal System Permits -
Notice to Members of the General Assembly

FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of the Environment to
notify certain members of the General Assembly at certain
times regarding the issuance, renewal, or extension of a
permit for a refuse disposal system; and providing for the
scope of this Act.
