JOINT RESOLUTIONS
organic compounds, to establish procedures for responding to
public inquiries and complaints regarding indoor air quality; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That the Task Force be composed of:
(1) 2 members of the House of Delegates, appointed by the
Speaker of the House, and 2 members of the Senate of Maryland,
appointed by the President of the Senate; and
(2) 7 representative of the Department of the Environment,
1 representative of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene,
1 representative of the State Department of Education, and 1
representative of the Department of Licensing and Regulation, all
having expertise in the subject of indoor air quality, appointed
by the Governor; and
(3) 2 members from private industry involved in home
building and construction in Maryland, appointed by the Governor;
and
(4) 1 member of the Chemical Industry Council, appointed by
the Governor; and
(5) 1 member of the Building Owners and Managers
Association (BOMA), appointed by the Governor; and
(6) 1 representative of a technical or professional society
or association involved in the sciences of heating,
refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation, appointed by
the Governor; and
(7) 3 members of the public, appointed by the Governor; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That the Governor designate the chairman of the
Task Force; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Task Force report its findings and
recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly by
January 1, 1989; and be it further
RESOLVED, That staff for the Task Force be provided by the
Department of Legislative Reference; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be forwarded by the
Department of Legislative Reference to the Honorable William
Donald Schaefer, Governor of Maryland; the Honorable Thomas V.
Mike Miller, Jr., President of the Senate of Maryland; the
Honorable R. Clayton Mitchell, Jr., Speaker of the House of
Delegates; the Honorable Martin W. Walsh, Jr. Secretary of the
Environment, 201 W. Preston St., Baltimore, MD 21201; the
Honorable William A. Fogle, Jr., Secretary of Licensing and
