SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Consumer Protection - Automotive Crash Parts

FOR the purpose of requiring body shops to disclose to consumers
the use of certain crash parts in repairs to motor vehicles;
requiring body shops to make a certain statement to
consumers under certain circumstances; defining certain
terms; requiring insurers and body shops to furnish certain
information under certain circumstances; requiring certain
notices and statements to be in writing; making a violation
of this Act an unfair and deceptive trade practice; making
stylistic changes; providing that this Act does not prohibit
persons from filing actions for damages or require them to
exhaust administrative remedies; providing for the
enforcement of this Act and penalties for violations; and
generally relating to motor vehicle replacement crash parts.
