SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Wholesale Sales Representatives - Sales Under Commission

FOR the purpose of requiring a principal to pay commissions owed
to a sales representative within a certain time period after
the commission contract is terminated; providing for certain
damages; requiring the principal to pay costs and attorney's
fees in certain circumstances; specifying that any provision
in a commission contract that waives the requirements of
this Act is void; defining certain terms; specifying that a
proceeding brought under this Act shall be subject to
certain rules of the Maryland Rules of Procedure; and
generally relating to the payment of commissions on the
termination of the contract.

BY adding to

Article 100 - Work, Labor and Employment

Section 127 through 131 to be under the new subtitle

"Wholesale Sales Representatives"
