illegally or found in possession shall be considered a separate
offense.

[(f)] (H) Any person who hunts deer and any person who
accompanies, aids, or assists another person hunting deer, shall
wear either a cap, vest, or jacket or a jacket containing back
and front panels of a daylight fluorescent orange color. This
section does not apply to any person who hunts on his property
without a hunter's license nor to any person hunting deer with a
bow and arrow during the season restricted to hunting with a bow
and arrow.

[(g)] (I) Any person who, while operating a motor vehicle
on any highway in the State, accidentally strikes and kills a
deer on the highway may have the deer if the person produces
visible evidence of collision with the deer to any natural
resources police officer, State law enforcement officer, or other
designated representative of the Secretary. The provisions of
this subsection shall be applicable to deer killed by collision
with a motor vehicle at any time whether during the open season
for killing deer or during the legally closed season.

[(h)] (J) A person may not hunt a deer while it is taking
refuge in or swimming through the waters of the State.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read at follows:

Article - Natural Resources

10-307.

(M) THE DEPARTMENT MAY ENTER INTO CONTRACTS WITH FARMERS IN
THE STATE TO REIMBURSE THE FARMER FOR PLANTING AND LEAVING
GRAINS, GRASSES, AND LEGUMES, INCLUDING CLOVER, ALFALFA, AND
SOYBEANS, UNHARVESTED IN THE FIELDS IN ORDER TO BE USED TO
PROVIDE FEED FOR ANY GAME BIRDS AND MAMMALS IN THE STATE.

SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 1 of
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1988.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1989.
