(a)  There are three seasons to hunt deer: a bow hunting
season, a firearms season, and a muzzle loader season.

(b)  (1) In Dorchester County during each of the seasons for
hunting deer, a person may hunt, pursue or kill at least one
whitetail deer of either sex and two sika deer of either sex
without the need for a special antlerless permit.

(2) In Dorchester County, a person may hunt 1
additional whitetailed deer without a permit if the person:

(i) Is licensed to hunt deer under this title;

(ii) Has attained the whitetailed deer bag
limit applicable to the county during the same designated deer
hunting season; and

(iii) Is a State resident.

(c)  Every person killing a deer shall report with the deer
to a designated checking station within 24 hours after killing
the deer.

(d)  (1) Notwithstanding any other provision of this title
except for subsection (b) of this section, or any rule or
regulation of the Department, on request the Department may issue
a permit to hunt 1 additional whitetailed deer to any person who:

(i) Is licensed to hunt deer under this title;

(ii) Has attained the whitetailed deer bag
limit applicable to that county during the same designated deer
hunting season; and

(iii) Is a State resident and pays $2.

(2)  (i) Any licensing agent may issue a permit to
hunt 1 additional whitetailed deer on request of the person.

(ii) The issuing clerk or person designated to
issue permits shall retain 25 cents as compensation for each
permit issued.

(3)  The permit issued under this section:

(i) Entitles the holder of the permit to hunt
and kill only 1 more antlered, whitetail deer during that same
designated deer hunting season; but

(ii) Does not allow the holder of the permit to
hunt antlerless deer.
