SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Business Occupations - Licensing of Sports Agents

FOR the purpose of establishing a system of regulation of sports
agents by the Secretary of the Department of Licensing and
Regulation; authorizing the Secretary to adopt certain
regulations; requiring sports agents to conform to certain
licensing requirements, including: application for a
license, term of a license, license renewal, license fees,
revocation or suspension of a license, and penalties;
imposing certain duties on sports agents regarding: filing
of contracts, disclosure of fee schedules, contract
cancellation, advertising, prohibited activities, and
recordkeeping; providing certain records and contracts may
not be disclosed without permission of the athlete;
providing for the applicability of this Act; and generally
relating to the regulation of sports agents.
