Ch. 656

LAWS OF MARYLAND

(1)  The person shall have in the person's possession
the application for the disabled person's parking permit that is
approved by the Administration; and

(2)  The person shall make the application for the
disabled person's parking permit available upon the request of a
police officer, while the officer is discharging the official
duties of a police officer.

(h) (1) A person may not commit any fraud or make any
misrepresentation in applying for or using a disabled person's
parking permit.

(2)  A person who operates a motor vehicle displaying
a disabled person's parking permit may not use the privileges
granted under this section, unless the person is:

(i) A disabled person who meets the
requirements of § l3-616(a}(l) of this subtitle; or

(ii) Accompanied by a dependent who meets the
requirements of § 13-616 (a)(1) of this subtitle; or

(iii) A disabled person who meets the
requirements of subsection (a)(2) of this section.

(3)  To determine if the eligibility requirements
continue to be met, the Administration may conduct a review of a
disabled person's parking permit that is issued by the
Administration under this section and:

(i) If the Administration finds it necessary to
review the severity or permanency of a permit holder's
disability, the Administration may request a review and
recommendations from the Medical Advisory Board established under
§ 16-118 of this article; and

(ii) If the Administration determines that
eligibility requirements are not being met, the Administration
may revoke the disabled person's parking permit.

(i) Any person who violates the provisions of this section
is guilty of a misdemeanor, in accordance with the terms Of §
27-101 of this article.

(e) A person may not park a motor vehicle in a space
designated for the handicapped unless the vehicle bears [a]:

(1)  A special registration plate [or]; OR

(2)  A VALID permit ISSUED BY:
