LAWS OF MARYLAND

(2) Each person, firm or corporation, who shall carry
on the business of construction as mentioned in this section,
shall before doing so, first take out a license therefor and pay
an annual license fee of $30 in Baltimore City or $15 in each
county.

(b)  In addition to the requirements set forth in
subsections (a) and (d) of this section, any nonresident person,
firm or corporation desiring to carry on the business of
construction in this State, as defined in subsection (a) shall:

(1)  Obtain a license by paying an annual fee of $50
and applying to the clerk of the circuit court in the county
where the work will be performed; and

(2)  Obtain an additional $50 license for each single
contract in which the gross amount of that contract is in excess
of $1,000.

(c)  The licenses required by subsection (b) are not to be
required of any nonresident person, firm or corporation if the
state of residence of that nonresident person, firm or
corporation does not require a similar license of a Maryland
contractor doing business in that state.

(d)  If the fee in the state of the nonresident is higher
than the fee in this State, any nonresident person, firm, or
corporation desiring to carry on the business of construction in
the state which is incorporated in or has central offices located
in a state other than this State shall be subject to all the fees
imposed on a similar nonresident business in the state of
incorporation or the state where the central offices are located.

(a) In addition to the other requirements of this subtitle,
each county plan shall:

(17) Document compliance with and report on actions
taken and plans to enforce [the Maryland Water Conservation
Plumbing Fixtures Law under] Article [56,] 56A, §§ 3-605 AND
3-606 of the Code.

13-102.

This title does not limit the right of an individual to
install or repair a water pump, a water tank, or water
conditioning equipment if the individual is authorized to
[practice] PROVIDE PLUMBING SERVICES as a master plumber in
[this] THE State.
