A MASTER PLUMBER    OR HOLDER OF A LIMITED MASTER PLUMBER

LICENSE SHALL GIVE THE    BOARD NOTICE OF THE CANCELLATION OF

INSURANCE AT LEAST 10     DAYS BEFORE THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE
CANCELLATION.

(G) SURETY BONDS.

IF A COUNTY, MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT,
OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION REQUIRES A MASTER PLUMBER, HOLDER
OF A LIMITED MASTER PLUMBER LICENSE, OR OTHER PERSON WHO ENGAGES
IN THE BUSINESS OF PROVIDING PLUMBING SERVICES TO EXECUTE A
SURETY BOND UNDER LOCAL PLUMBING REQUIREMENTS, THE PERSON MAY
SATISFY THE BOND REQUIREMENT BY SUBMITTING PROOF OF THE INSURANCE
REQUIRED UNDER THIS SECTION.

(H) REQUIRED LICENSE CLAUSE.

THE BOARD SHALL SPECIFY ON THE MASTER PLUMBER LICENSE OR
LIMITED MASTER PLUMBER LICENSE WHETHER THE MASTER PLUMBER OR
HOLDER OF THE LIMITED MASTER PLUMBER LICENSE MEETS THE INSURANCE
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

COMMITTEE COMMENT: Subsections (a), (b), and (d) through
(h) of this section are new language derived from
former Art. 56, § 462C(a)(2) through (d) and (f).

Subsection (c) of this section is new language added
to state expressly that which only was implied in the
former law — i.e., apprentice plumbers, journey
plumbers, and holders of limited journey plumber
licenses need not obtain separate insurance while
providing plumbing services under the direction and
control of the master plumber, since the insurance of
the master plumber or holder of a limited master
plumber license would cover the services.

In subsection (a) of this section and throughout this
section, the phrase "holder of a limited master
plumber license" is new language added in conformity
with provisions throughout this title that apply to
holders of limited master plumber licenses. See the
General Committee Comment to this title.

In subsection (b) of this section, the word "bought"
is substituted for the former word "carried", for
clarity.

In subsection (c)(1)(i) of this section, the specific
references to a "county", "municipal corporation", and
"special taxing district" are added to clarify the
broad scope of the reference to a "political
subdivision".
