WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                   Ch. 645

(F) If the requirements of subsections (a), (b), (c), [or]

(d), OR (E) of this section are met, the property tax   assessment

appeal board shall hold a hearing, as provided under § 14-510(b)
of this subtitle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

FOR the purpose of requiring certain boards, including the State
Board of Examiners of Nurses, State Board of Physical
Therapy Examiners, State Board of Medical Examiners, and
State Board of Podiatry Examiners, to develop regulations to
test the oral competency of certain speech impaired
individuals; requiring certain health occupations boards to
require an oral competency test of certain licensees who are
involved in certain disciplinary actions; specifying that
graduation from certain schools under certain circumstances
is acceptable proof of proficiency in the oral communication
of the English language; defining the term "oral
competency"; and generally relating to proficiency in the
oral communication of the English language by certain health
care providers.
