LAWS OF MARYLAND

NO LESS THAN THE MINIMUM CRIMINAL PENALTY ESTABLISHED BY THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN THIS ARTICLE.

(B) BY PAYING A FINE SET UNDER THIS SECTION IN LIEU OF
APPEARING FOR TRIAL IN DISTRICT COURT, A PERSON IS VOLUNTARILY
ACCEPTING A CONVICTION FOR THE OFFENSE CHARGED.

4-1201.

(a) Any person who violates any provision of this title is
guilty of a misdemeanor. Unless another penalty is specifically
provided elsewhere in this title, the person, upon conviction, is
subject to a fine not exceeding $500[, or imprisonment not
exceeding three months, or both,] with costs imposed in the
discretion of the court.

5-1301.

(a) Any person who violates any provision of this title is
guilty of a misdemeanor. Upon conviction in a court of competent
jurisdiction, unless another penalty is specifically provided
elsewhere in this title, the person is subject to a fine not
exceeding $500[, or imprisonment not exceeding three months, or
both,] with costs imposed in the discretion of the court.

7-801.

(a) Any person who violates any provision of this title is
guilty of a misdemeanor. Upon conviction in a court of competent
jurisdiction, unless another penalty is specifically provided
elsewhere in this title, the person is subject to a fine not
exceeding $500[, or imprisonment not exceeding three months, or
both,] with costs imposed in the discretion of the court.

8-814.

Any person who violates or causes an act which violates the
provisions of this subtitle or violates or fails to comply with
any order of the Department when due notice is given is guilty of
a misdemeanor. Upon conviction he is subject to a fine not
exceeding $1,000 [or imprisonment not exceeding one year, or
both,] with costs imposed in the discretion of the court.

8-1501.

(a) Any person who violates any provision of this title is
guilty of a misdemeanor. Upon conviction in a court of competent
jurisdiction, unless another penalty is specifically provided
elsewhere in this title, the person is subject to a fine not
exceeding $500[, or imprisonment not exceeding three months, or
both,] with costs imposed in the discretion of the court. Every
fine and cost shall be paid in accordance with Article 38, § 4 of
the Code.
