used car dealer may not sell, dispose, barter, deal in, deliver,
give away, show or offer for sale any motor vehicle or any
certificate of title for any motor vehicle on Sunday.

(2)  Any dealer who violates any provision of this
subsection is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is
subject to a fine not exceeding $10,000.

(3)  THIS SUBSECTION DOES NOT APPLY:

(I)  IN MONTGOMERY AND PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTIES;
AND

(II)  IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, TO DEALERS OF NEW
OR USED CAMPING TRAILERS, MOBILE HOMES, OR TRAVEL TRAILERS AS
THOSE VEHICLES ARE DEFINED UNDER TITLE 11 OF THE TRANSPORTATION
ARTICLE OF THE CODE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Automobile Insurance - Driving Records

FOR the purpose of prohibiting an insurer from refusing to
underwrite any automobile insurance risk because of a
traffic violation or accident that occurred more than 3
years before the date of application; providing that the
Motor Vehicle Administration may not open certain records to
public inspection if they are over 3 years old; making
stylistic changes; and generally relating to the disclosure
of driving records and their use by insurers for
underwriting purposes.
