AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - University of Maryland College Park -

Athletic Facilities

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in
the amount of $15,000,000 $2,500,000 $2,300,000, the
proceeds to be used as a grant to by the University of
Maryland for the planning, design, construction, and
equipping of athletic facilities to benefit the collegiate
program at the University of Maryland at College Park,
subject to the requirement that the University of Maryland
and other private sources provide at least an equal and
matching fund for a certain portion of the proceeds, of a
certain kind, for the same purpose by a certain date;
providing that State funds may be expended prior to the
receipt of a full matching fund funds by the University of
Maryland and other from private sources; and providing
generally for the issue and sale of bonds evidencing the
loan.
